Northern Saw-whet Owl Walk

Dr. Ashley Peele (VA Tech) will lead a program to learn more about the Northern Saw-whet Owl, a species believed to still be breeding in the Mt. Rogers area.  Meet at the Grindstone Campground parking lot at 8:30PM.  We will have opportunities to hear several other owl species, including Great-horned Owl, Barred Owl, and Eastern Screech Owl.  Be prepared to hike.

CONSIDER SUPPORTING THE RALLY

The Mount Rogers Naturalist Rally is a grand tradition that dates back to 1974. Over the years it has gone through many changes but the root goal has stayed the same: to connect our community to one of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth. If you would like to see this tradition continue for the next generation please consider making a donation to support the Rally.
