I harvested about a pound of ramps down along a dry creek bed up on White Top. It was a cooler, rainy day and I noticed a lot of the ramps in the area I was foraging already had flowers up. I did not take any that were flowered and only took a few from each patch and then moved on further down the creek bed. There were others up there foraging for ramps as well, but none of us were in the same spots. I took mine home, planted the removed roots in my woods by my house and then pickled the ramps.
