Science in Nature Program (Session II)

Who: 3rd - 5th graders of Smyth & Washington Counties
Dates: Wednesdays, October 14 - November 18, 2020
Time: 9:00 am - 3:15 pm
Location: Blue Ridge Discovery Center Field Station, 6315 Whitetop Rd, Troutdale, VA 24378
Cost: $210* (Includes all instruction, transportation during the program if necessary, materials, and supplies. Parents are responsible for face masks, snacks, and lunch.)
*Price will be reduced for late registrations.

The Science in Nature Program is a chance for your child to experience science-focused, hands-on, project-based activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

Together we’ll explore ecology, botany, mammalogy, entomology, ornithology, herpetology, aquatic systems, and more. Throughout this 6-week program (one day per week), children in 3rd through 5th grade will observe and conduct scientific surveys for one or more research projects while contributing to citizen science!
