Four species of moths
This group of moths, photographed a few minutes after 5:00 a.m. yesterday, is too good not to share. The large moths are Imperials, silkmoths. The striped moth between them is a Painted Lichen. The two very small moths below the lower Imperial are Pine Tube Moths, true micros. The real prize in the set is the orange moth to the left of the lower Imperial. The moth is an Orange Virbia, an Arctiid akin to the tiger moth tribe. Enjoy!
