Optical limitations

The moth in the photo is Monopis pavlovski (Carroll Co. VA, 9/15). It's a tiny micro. I posted this version because the point of focus was the top of the white patch at a distance just beyond the minimum focusing distance for my 60mm macro lens. Because the moth was sitting on an ordinary window screen, you can get an idea of the depth of field. The point? Don't get discouraged when your micro pics aren't what you want. Keep trying because you're pushing the optical limits of your equipment.
