Three August Katydids

The first one is a common true katydid, Pterophylla camellifolia. My wife and I found it in our sumac. They are common, but they generally live high in the tree canopy.

The second one is a species of Amblycorypha, oblong-winged katydid. It's an understory species, but easily missed if it isn't where it's out of place (on the side of my house).

The final one is a Scudderia, species undetermined. This katydid is plentiful in late summer, lots of opportunities to see it.
