Perseid Meteor Shower!

Amateur astronomer and naturalist Evan Worrell will explore heavenly bodies and the depths of the awe-inspiring universe in this intriguing hour-long program starting at 9:00pm. Take a close look at our solar system, Saturn's rings and the highlight of the night the Perseid Meteor shower. Evan will also help you identify constellations and talk about their ancient mythologies.

This starwatch will be part of the BRDC Annual Party and is FREE to the public! The event will be hosted on Joe Vogel's farm in Allehghany, NC

DIRECTIONS:

From Sparta NC:
1. Head southwest on NC-18 S Continue to follow NC-18 S to "Whitehead" community (3.8 mi)
2. Turn left onto Pine Swamp Rd at Church (0.3 mi) (Pine Swamp Rd sign is missing)
3. Turn right onto Airbellows Gap Rd (1.3 mi)
5. Airbellows Gap Rd turns to Gravel, shortly thereafter keep right to continue on Waterfall Rd (0.1 mi) (Driveway is the next left)
6. Turn left onto Joe's Way and follow driveway until you reach the Pavilion
