Join us for October festivities with the whole family and enjoy what nature has to offer this season! Please pre-register by following the button below.
Crepuscular programs from 6:00 to 7:30 pm are aimed toward youth ages 6-12 (though all are welcome to participate). Activities include creepy crafts, getting hands-on with our collection of animal specimens, scary story telling (all rated G or PG), and a ghostly game.
Our Nocturnal programs from 7:30 to 9:00 pm will be night hikes that are fun for participants of all ages! We will rotate through three stations after the sun goes down
Creepy Crawlies- Participants can get up close and personal with millipedes, spiders, moths, and other “bugs” that get an unfair bad rep
Creatures from the Lagoon- A quiet walk in a dark wetland to listen to and learn about the frogs, insects, and other nocturnal animals who depend on this habitat
Hunters of the Night- Hike through the shadowy woods while we learn about bats and owls, and try your luck at spotting or hearing some of the nocturnal predators
Be sure to bring warm clothes and comfortable walking shoes. Those who are participating in nocturnal programs, make sure each family has at least 1 flashlight available. Headlamps with red light capability are strongly preferred.
Interested in joining us? Please follow the registration button below. Additional information will be sent to registered participants prior to the event. This event is $10 per child.
