Spring Migration Bird Walk

  • Creeper Trail - Watauga Trailhead Watauga Road Abingdon, VA, 24211 United States (map)

Join Dr. Steven Hopp of Emory & Henry University and the Blue Ridge Discovery Center and Virginia Master Naturalist, Monica Hoel, of the Virginia Society of Ornithology for an early morning Spring Migration Bird Walk on the Virginia Creeper Trail. The outing will be on April 24th starting at 8:00 AM. We will meet at the Watauga Creeper Trail parking area. This is peak spring migration for warblers, tanagers, vireos, thrushes and other birds, so we can expect a great morning.

Space is limited so sign up soon! Registration is required. Email us at info@blueridgediscoverycenter.org to join the walk or click here to register online. Bring binoculars and field guides!
