BRDC GARDEN CLUB
What it is
The BRDC Garden Club is a community of passionate gardeners of all skill levels dedicated to celebrating the beauty and diversity of native plants in the Blue Ridge region. We work to maintain healthy habitats across the Discovery Center campus that support a variety of native flora and fauna and foster a deeper connection with nature. Through workshops, projects, and regular maintenance, our club inspires a love for gardening while promoting ecological stewardship. Join us as we cultivate vibrant gardens and a thriving community!
TYPICAL WORK
Garden club normally meets on Thursday afternoons, but will occasionally meet other days of the week, including weekends. Volunteers are welcome to join however often you would like
gET INVOLVED
The Garden Club uses a Google Groups listserv to send weekly emails. They’ll give you an idea of upcoming work and projects for the next meeting and a weather forecast so you can be prepared. This is also how we’ll announce cancellations for weather or other programs. If you are interested in volunteering with Garden Club, please join our mailing list!
Thank you for your interest in joining the Garden Club. We are so thankful for Garden Club members volunteering their time and energy to help us realize our vision for the Blue Ridge Discovery Center. We couldn’t do it without these amazing folks.
