Why lose sleep to photograph moths?

The big guys, like Lunas and Tulip Tree Silks Moths, are easy to eyeball. So are mid-sized moths like Clover Loopers and Rosy Maple Moths. Unfortunately half or more of North American moths fall into the small to tiny category. Here are two jet jobs. The first, a Thin-Winged Owlet, is a Noctuid, a macro moth, maybe a half-inch long. The second, an Orange-headed Epicallima, is maybe a quarter-inch. Tiny.
